As a CPA and PhD in Accounting, Dr. Clayton is uniquely positioned to guide families through the complexity of the tax world. Her knowledge of accounting can provide oversight of the accounting firms used by the family as well as assist in the evaluation of the tax impact of other family office decisions that are made on a regular basis.

WEALTH MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT

Dr. Clayton has worked with nationally recognized wealth management firms and can provide families with assistance in understanding how the decisions made with an investment advisor impacts the overall objectives of the family. Whether a family needs Dr. Clayton to attend meetings with wealth managers or simply provide simplistic explanations of investments alternatives and ramifications, Clayton Family Office will support you in your relationships with wealth management firms.

Dr. Clayton has extensive experience working with attorneys specializing in areas including but not limited to trust design, real estate transactions, asset liquidation, and business evaluation and purchase.

Clayton Family Office assists the family in gaining access to private banking and private trust services, document management and recordkeeping services, expense management, bill paying, bookkeeping services, family member financial education, family support services, and family governance. Although, some of these functions may already be in place, the coordination of various family needs through proper administration is essential to wealth management.

As an educator, Dr. Clayton has over 28 years of teaching experience. Dr. Clayton's ability to teach is of benefit to family members with limited financial knowledge as she can assist these family members in understanding concepts important to wealth management. Dr. Clayton’s multiple teaching awards include recognition from national business accreditation organizations and the state of Missouri and illustrates her ability to explain complex accounting and financial principles.
